Untitled #1 [Shuttle]

This painting of workers jammed together in a truck shuttling them from one part of the dock to another could apply to a host of other industries as well — even miners heading to the mine shaft. Note the piles of newspapers serving as seats, another sign of the improvised nature of arrangements.
