Untitled [Factory scene inspired by Mayfried Odner] by Bernard Baruch Zakheim

Oil on canvas, 24 x 20 inches.

Bay-area artist Bernard Zakheim (1896-1985) was born in Poland, where he trained in art and social revolution, and immigrated to San Francisco in 1920. There he painted murals inspired by teacher Diego Rivera that mixed art and politics. This painting is part of the Labor Arts exhibit Scenes of American Labor. The entire series is housed at the Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA.
