In this painting, artist Betty Lane juxtaposes street life and workers seen through a window in Boston at night. Note the yellow light on the workers, and the walkers in shadow. It is part of the Labor Arts exhibit Scenes of American Labor with thirty nine paintings that evoke the individual and physical experience of work. The entire series is housed at the Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA.
