Picketers in New York demonstrate support of Textile Workers in South Carolina

Striking textile workers in the south are supported here by representatives from a variety of unions picketing the J.C. Penney store in New York City. Some of the signs include, “Oneida Profits From Workers Misery, Don’t Buy Oneida Underwear at J.C. Penney, TWUA, AFL-CIO,” “Transport Workers Union of America Supports Oneida Strikers.”

Image by labor photographer Sam Reiss from the Tamiment Library Collections, New York University.
