“Our War is With You”

The IWW called for the replacement of national patriotism with the concept of international solidarity. Patriotism arbitrarily divided the workers, breeds jingoism, and bolsters the power of the ruling class. International solidarity, on the other hand, would unite workers, foster cooperation, and undermine capitalism. As far as the IWW was concerned, there was only one war and it was against the capitalists.
