This image from the American Federationist speaks to the culture of solidarity that existed among trade union workers in New York City. The Union Label Trades Department of the AF of L produced this advertisement in the early 1900s, to urge consumers to buy goods made by unionized workers. 

The image is part of the Labor Arts exhibit, Union Square, A National Historic Landmark which examines the events and images behind the commemoration of Union Square as a historic site.
