Female Firefighters Recruit Women to Join the Force

Veteran force members Anna Schermerhorn-Collins, Eileen Gregan and Lieutenant Brenda Berkman recruit fellow females for the FDNY.  Three female firefighters promote the United Women Firefighters, a union that aided in increasing the number of female applicants far more than efforts such as recruitment brochures.  The UWF allowed women access to information about the process of becoming and being a firefighter; from what to expect during testing, to preparation for job-related tasks.
