Brooklyn artist Nina Talbot weaves elements of cultural heritage into her extraordinary portraits of immigrant shopkeepers and families in Brooklyn, such as holocaust survivor Serena Stamler, who, as a single mother, supported her large family as a kosher cook in New York City hotels.
