The Vendors of Newkirk series by Brooklyn artist Nina Talbot presents portraits of immigrant shopkeepers from Newkirk Plaza, a multicultural neighborhood in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. Talbot captures a hodgepodge of mismatched mom and pop shops, including the shop portrayed in this painting, “Hot Bagels.”
