Si Podemos [Chicken Workers]

7′ x 22,’ acrylic on canvas

This mural by Kathleen Farrell was used by the Laborers International Union in a drive to organize chicken processors. Here Farrell uses photographs to develop a composite of text and images that tell a story of work and organizing. An abstract underpainting increases the story’s power and clarity.
