Painter Betty Lane shows workers on a truck ride together through the West. See the simple shapes and vivid colors, the exagerrated proportion, and the juxtaposition of the workers riding together and the horses running free. It is part of the Labor Arts exhibit Scenes of American Labor, with thirty nine paintings that evoke the individual and physical experience of work. The entire series is housed at the Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA.
