San Francisco maritime strike

Union photographer Daniel Nilva was so impressed by a number of images from the 1936 West Coast maritime strike that he made copy negatives of them that were later found among his archives. This image was labeled: “Picketing Matson Piers, San Fran 11/5/36.”
