Before the Evacuation of Families with Japanese Ancestry.
At Raphael Weill Public School children stand reciting the pledge of Allegiance. The children in families of Japanese ancestry were evacuated with their parents and were housed for the duration of the war at War Relocation Authority centers where facilities were provided for them to continue their education.
