The Operating Engineers are among the trade unions whose members worked incredibly long and difficult hours during the recovery effort, which ran more efficiently than any other construction project of its size.
Pride in that work is displayed in a variety of places, including on these jackets. Both the recovery effort and the future rebuilding of the trade center are evoked in this design that includes cranes at ground zero and an American flag flying above.
