Clothes on a Rack
The sight of workers pushing a rack of clothes through the streets of the garment center of New York CIty has become a part of the urban landscape. Having no rear view mirror, the “driver” must develop anticipatory skills so that he may know when a vehicle is approaching his rear. This is one of the images of garment workers on the job featured in an historical plaque in Union Square, NYC.
