Wen Zun Li, “Dreaming”
“My dream is to become a good cutter,” wrote Wen Zun Li about his photograph of the inside of a garment factory in New York City that he called “Dreaming.”
Mr. Li is a garment cutter and a member of Local 23-25 UNITE HERE in New York City. His photograph is included in Unseen America: Photos and Stories by Workers (Regan Books, 2006).
The project came out of the UNSEENAMERICA series of photography classes offered through Bread and Roses, a nonprofit cultural program bringing the arts in many forms to workers and underserved audiences across the country.
