Cartoon by Fred Wright (1907-1984), the leading left-labor columnist from the 1940s through the 1970s, whose work was featured in the UE News, publication of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UERMWA) and dealt with both labor and social issues.  This cartoon shows the employer “saddling” Uncle Sam–the country–with the losses involved in helping him to move his plant to a non-union labor area.
