Cartoon by Fred Wright (1907-1984), the leading left-labor columnist from the 1940s through the 1970s, whose work was featured in the UE News, publication of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UERMWA) and dealt with both labor and social issues. This cartoon is a play on words om which the worker is telling his foreman not to worry about any bad effects from his food, since, like his workers, it “wouldn’t dare to disagree with you.”
