Pardon Tom Mooney pamphlet.

Cover of 1929 pamphlet urging freedom for Tom Mooney, well known socialist and labor leader framed for bombing 1916 Prepardness Day Parade in San Francisco. The bombing killed ten people, but Mooney was demonstrably innocent.

Nevertheless, and despite a massive defense movement that stimulated protests from all over the world, Mooney served 23 years in a California state prison.  As the cover illustration of the pamphlet shows, Mooney aged terribly in prison and even though he was eventually pardoned by Governor Cuthbert Olson of California, he could not resume his labor activities after his release in 1939 and died in 1942 at the age of 50.
