This button was made and worn throughout the 1960s. It was ubiquitous on picket lines, at demonstrations, at workshops and meetings, on the subway and in the office. Found on the shirts and jackets and backpacks of CORE members and a great many other people, the simple black and white graphic and the words Freedom Now captured the spirit of the time.
