The IWW participated in a number of historic strikes across the nation which were instrumental in gaining a number of important rights for workers. As the champion of America's untouchables - the unskilled, minorities, and women - the IWW played an irreplaceable role in uplifting the most downtrodden and neglected members of the working class. Although the IWW never reached the prominence of larger and more 'respectable' labor organizations, like the American Federation of Labor, its work forced those organizations to reconsider their policies and tactics and propelled them into new directions. The following images chronicle some of the better well-known IWW-led labor struggles.
